Energy-Efficient Windows & Doors: Sustainable Double Glazing East Anglia
At okoHaus, sustainability is the basis for much of our business model. As the leading supplier of eco-friendly windows and doors in East Anglia, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact, achieving superior energy efficiency, and making a positive difference in the fight against climate change.
Through our sustainable windows and doors, we strive to do our part by sourcing sustainable raw materials for our products, adhering to the Paris Agreement goal of limiting temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and through productive partnerships such as our work with Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
Why Choose Our Eco-Friendly Windows?
Working with local, like-minded suppliers, our wide range of eco-friendly windows are made and distributed with sustainability in mind. The locally sourced, recycled aluminium and timber help reduce energy bills and carbon footprint.

Our products (whether Rationel, Velfac, or Solarlux) come in high-performance double and triple glazing which can reduce heat, regulate temperatures and lessen carbon dioxide emissions annually.

These philosophies have helped okoHaus gain the trust and support of Suffolk Wildlife Trust which has allowed us to go beyond carbon neutrality and aid the planet through climate mitigation, biodiversity conservation, enhancing social corporate responsibility, and adopting more eco-friendly solutions.
How Our Windows Help the Environment
Sustainable and Recyclable Materials
At okoHaus, we are big believers in the principle of “Reduce, reuse and recycle” and so all of our sustainable windows and doors are made from raw materials that prioritise environmental responsibility. All of our products are 93% recyclable due to the sustainable materials:
-
Wood: FSC and PEFC-certified and responsibly harvested.
-
Aluminium: 50% recycled, manufactured using renewable energy.
-
Glass: Fully recyclable, filled with non-toxic argon gas for insulation.
Energy Savings with Low U-Values
Our eco-friendly windows have market-leading thermal efficiency and energy performance, helping to retain heat while limiting energy waste. Our U-Values are competitively low with 0.79W/m²K and 0.82W/m²K for triple-glazed windows, and 1.29W/m²K and 1.6W/m²K for double-glazed windows.
These figures help create an energy-efficient barrier between the indoor and outdoor environment, reducing heat transfer and maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature. As a result, sustainable windows help minimise the need for excessive heating or cooling.
Reducing Heat Loss and Emissions
All of our eco-friendly windows include innovative weatherproof seals that prevent air leaks. High-performance insulating materials are also used to optimise thermal efficiency; and to maximise energy conservation, we have eliminated single glazing and only use double or triple glazing for our Rationel, Solarlux, and Velfac windows.
